Mystery Way, an 8-year-old gelding trained by Shinya Kobayashi at Ritto Training Center and sired by Just a Way, is considering a start in the Grade 1 Takarazuka Kinen on June 14 at Hanshin Racecourse over 2,200 meters on turf. The news was announced by Shadai Thoroughbred Club on its website on May 12.
Currently turned out at Shadai Farm Suzuka in Mie Prefecture, Mystery Way showed grit in his last start in the Tenno Sho (Spring) on May 3, leading the field and finishing a respectable eighth. With Meisho Tabaru, another front-running specialist aiming for a repeat victory in the race, already confirmed for the Takarazuka Kinen, the anticipated early speed duel between the two is drawing significant attention.
