Liverpool are planning to sign Monaco midfielder Maghnes Akliouche, according to L’Equipe. The 24-year-old Frenchman is being eyed as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, who is set to leave the English club as a free agent in the summer of 2026. Notably, Liverpool are not put off by Monaco’s €50 million asking price. However, the Merseyside club may face competition from Tottenham Hotspur if the London side retain their Premier League status.
Akliouche joined Monaco in July 2022, with his contract running until June 30, 2028. This season, the midfielder has scored seven goals and provided 11 assists in 42 appearances. Transfermarkt values him at €50 million.
