During the second race of the WorldSSP class at the 2026 FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) Hungarian round on May 3, French rider Valentin De Bise, competing for Chinese manufacturer Zhang Xue Racing, was forced to retire due to a mechanical failure on the second lap.
Following the race, Zhang Xue, founder of Zhang Xue Racing, shared a video on social media stating that initial inspections pointed to a drop in engine oil pressure as the likely cause, with a full investigation still underway.

Despite the setback, De Bise remains third in the rider standings with 97 points, while Zhang Xue Racing holds third place in the manufacturer championship with 99 points.
