From May 1 to 4, the 2026 Second “Top of Wumeng” Jin Buduo Motorcycle Cross-Country Race was held in Huize County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province. A total of 306 riders from 21 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across China gathered to compete on the rugged, natural mudslide terrain.

To highlight Huize’s unique geographical features, organizers designed four special tracks, including a challenging 36-kilometer natural mudslide course. Starting from the source of the Jiangjiagou mudslide and passing through the Xiaojiang River valley and riverbed, the route ends at Wenquan Village, preserving the original landform.

As the starting signal sounded, over 300 motorcycles roared into action. Riders navigated steep cliffs, swift streams, and rocky ravines, battling rain, mud, and extreme conditions. Their resilience and sportsmanship shone through every climb and jump.

The event featured seven categories: Import, Domestic, Electric, Women’s, Senior, Rookie, and Parent-Child to ensure both professionalism and inclusivity. In the qualifying round, famous Chinese off-road rider Xu Jianhao performed a stunning jump over six cars. Sun Jiawei claimed victory in the Import category, Deng Yongjie in the Electric category, and Chen Suchun won in the Women’s, Rookie, and Parent-Child groups. Veteran rider Fang Mingji demonstrated steady performance in the Senior category.

The race was guided by the Yunnan Provincial Sports Bureau and co-hosted by the Qujing Education and Sports Bureau and the Huize County Government. Combining thrilling competition with rare geological wonders, the event not only showcased Huize’s vitality and boosted its outdoor sports tourism brand but also aligned with Qujing’s “Strange Mountains and Waters” corridor in its cultural tourism development plan. Riders from different ethnic groups and regions competed side by side, fostering a sense of national unity through sport.
