Thousands of Barcelona supporters took to the streets on Sunday night to celebrate the club’s second consecutive Spanish league title, secured with a 2-0 victory over Real Madrid at Camp Nou. Among the jubilant crowd were midfielder Marc Casadó and left-back Alex Balde, both products of the club’s youth academy.
Like many other members of the current squad, Casadó and Balde decided to join the fans at Plaça Catalunya, extending the party that began at the stadium. Balde, who was an unused substitute for most of the match and only came on for Fermín López in the final minutes, shared two videos on Instagram showing himself being carried by the crowd.
“With my people!” Balde wrote in Catalan on Instagram. Other fan-made videos also flooded social media on Sunday night.
